External FTP Fileserver Setup

TCAdmin now includes the ability to pull game, mod, map and patch files from an external FTP server that is not part of the TCA system. This will allow admins to setup a FTP server on the operating system of their choice to server the files. It does not matter whether the FTP runs on windows or linux, as long as it is a standard FTP server and will accept Passive "PASV" connections.

To setup an external fileserver goto System Settings>File Servers
Click on the "new" button to create a new file server. Enter the required info about the FTP server including the IP or hostname, username and password. When you are finished, click the "save" button to save the server.

Once you have saved it you can click the "test" button to perform a test connection to the external FTP server.
Keep in mind that the directory structure must match what you have specified in the game configs. So you will need the .zip,.rar or folder in the directory you specify in the file server setup. This includes the game folder and TCA. folders such as TCA.Patches, maps etc... Once a server is set to pull files form the FTP server that is where it will go to find all files.

The next step is to set your server(s) to pull files from the new external FTP. To do this goto System Settings>Servers and click on the server you would like to configure. Next to the "Game Files Path" you will need to put a check in the box labeled "Use FTP", and then select the FTP server from the pulldown list below it.

Once you have done this, simply click the "save" button and you are now ready to install your games which will pull files from your external FTP server.
