For those of you that use our "interact with desktop" feature within TCAdmin you must login in console mode via Remote Desktop in order to see the game consoles. The following instructions will show you how.
1. Create a shortcut to MS Remote Desktop Client on your desktop.
2. Add the follwing to the end of the line /console. If your home PC is running Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 the parameter has been changed to /admin.
The full line should look like this after you are done:
3. Apply the changes.
4. Run the RDP client shortcut and login to your server as you normally would.
Now when you click the "start" link in your panel for the gameserver, you should see the game console open.
*Please note that console mode will only work on servers running Windows XP Pro and Windows 2003 Server. It will not work on Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server.
** Please make sure that under "service settings" for the gameserver, that "interact with desktop" is checked off before connecting as console.
Note for servers running Windows Vista or Windows 2008 Server
You must start the Windows service named "Interactive Services Detection" to be able to view the game server's console. You will receive a message prompt asking if you want to see the console. On these operating systems it is recommended that you only use interact with desktop for troubleshooting.
